Stephen Warnock has said that the biggest achievement made by Marcelo Bielsa as the Leeds United manager is being able to take Championship players to the height of playing Premier League football. Ex-Premier League defender Stephen Warnock reflected on the Marcelo Bielsa era at Leeds United while he was on BBC Match of the Day earlier this week after he was sacked by the club officially on Sunday.

WARNOCK: THERE’S TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON PL MANAGERS

The English Premier League is not only fast-paced when it comes to its pattern and style of play, it also has the same attribute when it comes to firing managers that are not living up to expectations. The growing impatience that Premier League clubs have been showing in the last couple of years has continued to be come alarming and a topic of major discussion. Manchester United recently relieved Olé Gunnar Solksjaer of his duties at Old Trafford after some poor performances on the pitch and a series of really poor results and appointed Ralf Ragnick as his replacement for the next six months. There have been other sacking on the league, with Rafael Benitez getting axed by Everton and being replaced by Frank Lampard, while Claudio Ranieri was also fired by Watford and Roy Hodgson being named as his permanent replacement.

NEW SALAH CONTRACT IS A NO-BRAINER

WARNOCK REVEALS WOLVES FANS’ JOTA TREATMENT

Ex-Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers defender Stephen Warnock revealed how the Wolves fans treated in-form Liverpool attacker Diogo Jota poorly on his return to the club on Saturday. Portugal international Jota was a Wolves player until last summer when he sealed a big money move to Liverpool.

LEEDS FORTUNATE IN WIN OVER WATFORD
